Stepping Up Pittsburgh's Fashion Reputation, One Brilliant Style

Suzanne Mauro

As Pittsburgh is evolving, so does our personal style and mode of dress.  We invited three local stylish creatives to help us showcase some of our favorite Spring looks and usher in a beautiful new season at One Brilliant.

There is nothing more mood-enhancing than adding a bright new piece to your wardrobe for Spring. One Brilliant has gone "haute" for Spring and our new styles are zipping.

Elysia Newman

The best part of Pittsburgh Style is how it seems to be growing and blossoming. Now more than ever, there are people who care about many shapes and forms of style and what that means to them personally. With the emergence of our city as a hubspot for culture and liveliness, there's a vibrancy also growing in Pittsburgh style that I'm very excited to see unfold over the next 5 years.

I feel most like myself in a dressed down or untraditional styling of a blazer. As a young professional, I want to be taken seriously, but not TOO seriously. Usually I'm in black, but I'm learning that with proper styling, color is acceptable. Oversized pieces or bold statement pieces paired with sneakers are my weekend go-to.

We just love this contemporary flair on a traditional fabric. Ted Baker's Robot check suit, with the CBN shooting star pin for a dazzling touch. The perfect ticket for the stylish professional. Pair it with the vivid pop of pattern woven blouse with tie sleeves, all by Ted Baker.  Blazer $349, Pants $229 & Blouse $209. Available at One Brilliant.

Sara Longo

The best part of Pittsburgh Style is Lawrenceville. The local boutiques and eclectic fashion really make me want to spend time there.

I feel most like myself in whatever fits my mood for the day. Or when in doubt, a dress and a pair of flats.

There is something about white that is simple but yet chic. One of our favorite pieces for spring is this Jane Lace Crop top by bishop & young. We paired it with a skinny cropped stripe pant by Joseph Ribkoff and added a fabulous bag by High Fashion.  Top $68, Pant $138 & Purse $98, all available at One Brilliant.

Kelly Gualtieri

The best part of Pittsburgh Style is the mixing of vintage, well loved clothing with more current pieces. People here do not need to dress in head to toe designer clothing to look stylish, they have their own unpretentious style that is completely unique.

I feel most like myself in a vintage Armani printed blouse tucked into high waist, wide leg trousers.

Simple, bright pieces always speak for themselves and add an uplifting Spring update to any wardrobe. Bold block colors are a standout trend for the new season. We love these high waisted electric blue pants by Samuel Dong, don't be afraid to pair it with a bold color top or even just a white t-shirt, either way it is super chic.  Pants $118, Top $98.00.

Another spring favorite is this brocade long floral skirt paired with a lemon blouse by Joseph Ribkoff, Skirt by Samuel Dong. Top $198, all items available at One Brilliant.

Come into full bloom this Spring season with elegant florals.

Ted Baker's elegant floral dress, showing off a flattering bodycon fit and ruched detailing at the neckline. It will ensure all eyes will be on you at your next event. Dress $315.

Ted Baker's floral oracle print skirt will add an elegant florish to your everyday wardrobe. Pair it with a understated floral blouse for a feminine feel. Skirt $209, Blouse $195. All available at One Brilliant.

Dresses are always the perfect way to update your wardrobe for Spring. They are easy to slip on and they are a breeze to wear.

One of our favorite dresses this Spring is the sleeveless belted stretch shirt dress by Teri Jon. The classic shirt dress is modernized with a full skirt and jeweled button details, with an oversized bow at the waist. Dress $658.00

The black Anderson cocktail sheath dress by Black Halo is a great twist on the little black dress, Dress $438.00 all available at One Brilliant.

One of Spring's makeup trends is the bold eye. This season make it monotone, You can go super-bright, but keep it singular.

A special thank you to Elysia Newman, Sara Longo & Kelly Gualtieri for helping us unveil the "new" spring season at One Brilliant and sharing their amazing style!
